Pacific City
I somehow, imagine that, forgot to send this:)
June 2 2021 to June June 7 2021
We stayed at Webb County Campground for 5 nights. That was 3 more than our original plan but when we started calling around for our next stop EVERYPLACE was FULL.
So, we checked into staying here and was originally told we could stay but would need to move to a different smaller park, later due to a cancelation we only had to move to a different spot not a different park.
We’re within walking distance of the beach and a sand covered hill that was not the easiest climb but we made it to the height we needed to get to the best views. The sand dune / hill was much higher but didn’t look like they didn’t really wanted you to climb it.
While we were here we explored around the area, including some water falls then last night we walked to the beach to take some sunset pictures. The sun was setting behind the sand dune we climbed not out on the ocean as we expected. Anyway, as we were walking around and taking pictures, we were well above the wave level and not paying much attention to the swells when this rouge wave came in we both got wet up to our calves. Once we seen it coming, we should have ran, instead of trying to walk above the wave line. Just to prove we were above the wave line to start with, the rouge wave put out 2-3 fires that were burning on the beach.
I almost called this post no lawnmower needed. The park has a bunch of domestic bunnies. Currently the heard consist of, I think, 3 females, 1 male 3-4 juveniles and some babies still in the nest, that we haven ‘t seen. They keep the grass mowed to nothing. I guess the ferrel cats keep the population under control.
Also, no worries with sunburn while we’ve been here, it’s been cloudy and cool, the sweat shirts sure felt good.
The End
