It’s always something!!
5/22/2021
After being here for 3 nights its time to hit the road for our next adventure.
The day started out gray foggy and cool with a light mist in the air, not a good way to start the day.
The first order of the day was to work on the propane furnace, the other day it clicked on and ran as normal, the next time it clicked on, it made one heck of a noise! With things to do and places to see I only had a chance to figure out what was wrong with it, plus I needed some time to figure out how to fix it. It’s always something!!
The furnance has a squirrel cage type blower on it and when it kicked on the poor mouse, who I bet was looking to move in, never had a chance and got wedged in the fins. OUCH! He didn’t live to make that mistake again. Anyway I couldn’t get my hand in there to remove said mouse. After taxing my poor brain almost to point of exploding, I ended up bending a wire and hooking said wedged mouse with the wire to get out where I could reach it. It wasn’t that easy as I ended up unplugging and removing a circuit board to get to the thing, anyway, dead mouse remove and heater tested and put back together. It’s always something!!
All packed up with no place to go.
Then it was time to get ready to move, the only problem was………. We need to dump the tanks, the dump is on another road in the park. Well, about the time we’re ready to move, here come all the race cars, tonight is a big race night here apparently. Anyway I guess the gates to the track haven’t opened up yet and we can’t get to the dumping station.
So here we sit all packed up with no place to go. It’s been about an hour now, hopefully they will open the gates at 10:00 but only time will tell.
10:15 and the roads are still full of race cars on trailers with no movement.
10:30 and the only thing that changed is the line has grown longer, I’m not sure what we’re going to do, we really need to dump the tanks and I don’t think where we’re headed had a dump station or full hookups.
About 11:30 we are finally on the road, it’s always something:
On down the road…………….. UGH, it’s a Saturday and the traffic reminds me of Louisville durning rush hour. 3 lanes heavy traffic sometimes stop and go, toss in some hills and not straight stretch to be found, all running 60 MPH, UGH!!!
Arrived here at the CG and we’re in a full hook up site:)
The camp host told me of a mountain top overlook just down the road a couple of miles, he said we with the sun shining should be able to see Seattle, we couldn’t.
The End
