Cold – cold -COLD
We stayed 5 nights at Lakeside Campground, Hords Creek Lake (another COE) where we saw our first, live, armadillos. The park was full of deer also, we counted at least 20 in one group.
The park was mostly empty and encompassed the entire lake. A cold front moved and in the days weren’t to bad but the temperature really dropped to below freezing at night and the wind didn’t help anything.
Wind, dang it was windy a couple of days, the wind made an impression on the tires with the cloth tire covers so we ended up taking them off.
I didn’t feel all that good durning our stay, allergies are really getting me down this year, and the wind was really ripping few days so I really had some concerns about being able to hold the door if a big gust came along just as I opened it. Unfortunately one night I let my guard down and the water hose froze up that night, it was 12:00 pm before it thawed, fortunately nothing busted.
The End
