Wow 515 miles one day 247 The next – that’s 762 In 2 days
That’s well above what I like to drive.

We did some miles today. After sitting still in the wind for a couple of days I was ready to hit the road. There was nothing wrong with the campground but it was to windy/cool to enjoy being outside and there was not much to do in the area.
I didn’t intend to drive that far but wanting to spend the night in a Walmart or other like place (cheap) I didn’t want to stop to soon. Ordinarily we would have stopped at a rest area and kill some time, but there weren’t no rest areas to stop at, so I just kept on a driving.
The drive took us through a big chunk of Iowa(due south), all the way across Missouri and a little over 1/2 the way across Illinois( due East).
We’re also back in the land of woods and forest, there are large fields but they are broken up with woods and forest. The fields no longer stretch from horizon to horizon.
The GPS almost caused us to be in a serious accident. We’re driving on the expressway and it was in an area of construction, where they have moved roads but the GPS didn’t know that. We’re driving along when the GPS pipes up, out of the blue, and tells me that, this is what almost caused the accident because I was laughing so hard, the GPS says something to the effect that I driving on the wrong side of the road. It was so funny at the time, we both cracked up laughing.

The rising sun.
We pulled out of Walmart parking lot about 6:45 AM as before the sun was up. Neither one of us slept so good. Once we were out of town and rolling down the 2 lane road, the sun was rising it looked to be about a mile away and we were going to be swallowed up by it. A few minutes later we were being blinded by the light.
It took a while to ferment in my poor little brain this morning but I came to the conclusion, on all my own, for the second time in the last few weeks, that it’s not the best idea to drive due east into the rising sun. Perhaps one day I’ll remember that little bit of advice.
So glad I’m back in Allergyiana! The land of Allegra and Benadryl, where itchy watery eyes and runny nose reign supreme, while trying not to be out done by the ever present post nasal drip. Coughing and sneezing are running neck and neck to see who can be the most annoying.
Allergyiana, were you can’t smell the roses because your nose is all stuffed up.
Settled at Deam Lake for a few days, before moving to Marys Mom and moving BACK INTO RUBY.
