Back on the Road

Today finds us about 180 miles due north, Honey Bear Hollow CG Peru IN, the weather was getting to warm around Clarksville, not really! We’re here because we are getting some new ceiling fans and a few other things done in a couple of weeks, so we wanted to move closer.
Also, we needed to move because the park, besides being expensive, is full for the KY Derby.
One project that we had done while in Clarksville, turned out ok but required us to take the MH to a welding shop 3 times. UGH!! We had a different motorcycle lift installed. We bought a used one and kind of married part of it up with our old one.
Trip one was for measurements, trip 2 was to get it mounted. And trip 3 was to get the hydraulics connected. The welder did an excellent job, the only real problem with needing 3 trips, besides the need to unhook everything and bring in the slides in, is he is on a little skinny town road, he has an extra small parking lot and the rig needs to be turned around and go out the same way we went in. He had the coach turned around for us each time.
We even spent one night in his parking lot, of course it was extremely cold that night.
Contact American Machine in New Albany. Phone 502-807-413 For all your welding needs, trailers and trailer supplies.

Are we lost, are we still in the USA? Mary was navigating, that’s all I’m going to say.

We took a drive over to Mississinewa Lake. It’s a long skinny lake and ranges from 1,280 acres in the winter to 12,830 in flood stage.

On a cool blustery day we toured Grissom Air Museum in Peru, compared to the museum we toured in SD last year it’s kinda small and wasn’t free like the one in SD.
Then it was on to Paul’s RV, Wakarusa IN, for a day of getting things done. That was also a good excuse to revisit the Dime Store Candy Shop, The selection had shrank considerably, and no speckled Jelly beans, I did stock up on the Black licorice ones:)
