Walmart to Walmart
8/10/2020
No wonder I’m tired I drove 567 miles today, walmart to walmart, with a stop at the Mississippi River headwaters in Minnesota. That’s something that was on my list for a while. It would have been nice to stay a while but for being in the middle of nowhere it was kinda busy.
We plan to go back when we can spend a few weeks in the area I’m sure bigfoot lives in the area, thousands acres of woods and lakes. We can’t wait to get back and do some exploring.
This morning we pulled out of the Walmart in Mason City, IA around 6:15 in a misty fog and turned north to find the headwaters of the Mississippi River. It was a good chunk of driving, probably a couple hundred miles total, but it was really pretty country. From there we turned back south and hit the intestate near Fargo, ND.
Note to self: don’t drive through Fargo ND at 5:00-5:30 in the afternoon. We never did slow down much but 3 lanes of fast moving traffic is something I can do without.
I gotta say 100 miles, so far, of super smooth concrete expressway has been a pleasure to drive on. I know of several states that could use a lesson from whoever poured the concrete.
We’re staying in parking lots so we can travel earlier or drive later that I feel comfortable with doing when staying in campgrounds. We’re also more comfortable understanding the battery system on the little guy.
WOW The End already.
