A LONG move
8/6/2020
We moved from Charlestown State Park to Marys Moms farm in Floyds Knobs, all of 29 miles.
This morning we spent some time moving gravel to make a level spot to park RUBY, suddenly a leaking hydraulic hose on the tractor and I’m on a roll with hoses ain’t I, so we quit for the day. It was getting warm anyway. We were supposed to have already moved the gravel back in April but it was to wet then. We did manage to get the spot mostly level before quitting for the day.
Dr appointment in the morning, then do a few more projects around here, like clean the under carriage of RUBY.
We have a tentative plan to pull out on the 9th. We’ll be gone, from So. IN, until sometime towards the end of September when we’ll be back for more (Insert bad words of choice) dr visits.

Well that sure took a while. 9:30 appointment, getting out at around 11:00 then a stop at Cunningham’s Camper and we didn’t get home until around 12:00 by that time it was getting hades hot and we still had a BUNCH of stuff to do.
What are we doing you might ask? Well, it’s like this the little guy, the white coach, has been setting several months. Remember we were supposed to be in it and in Alaska about now, so we have decided that it needs a road trip. We have been spending our time getting moved into it. It’s been a long couple of days but we have the Jeep all hooked up and we’re sleeping in it tonight. Unfortunately we need to make a stop by a tire dealer in the morning, So we can’t pull out at daylight as planned but they open at 7:30 in the morning, I hope. I can’t get one of the tires to take air and I know it’s a little low.
We decided to play like we had every thing taken care of around 8:00 pm
One look at the hades hot forecast and that was an easy decision to leave today instead of Monday.
Actually we decided to pull out on the 8th if we could, I would have left on the 7th given 1/2 chance.
We’ve made the decision to keep both coaches for the foreseeable future so we’re kinda setting up things so it wont take as long to move from 1 coach to the other.
The End
