A LONG day in hades
Ok so we left Shipshewana.
I’ve noticed the power steering squealing a lot more lately and getting progressively WORSE. I checked around and found a shop that would look at it and change the oil and stuff while they had it. 12 HOURS. Now this is not a complaint, they seem to have done a good job at what I thought was a reasonable price. It took so long because they had to shop around for belts and filters, because of the age, things have changes and not everyone has the older items on their shelf.
12 hours of killing time in unacceptably HOT conditions. Don’t really want to do anything indoors. Originally they thought they would have us out by noon and we could hit the road for cooler weather. So we hung around close, then it was just a couple of more hours………… lets just say it was a very long boring day.
The plus side is we found this little farmers marked just out of town that let us stay in their driveway. Many thanks to Hiedi’s Bakery and Farm Market. All the doughnuts were cake and while VERY good they weren’t yeast:)
