And still no gold

This morning we went to Fort Clinch State Park, it’s on the very north end of Amelia Island and that’s north of Jacksonville FL.
While the temps were in the mid 40’s, I think, it feels much colder than that ( felt like we had been transported to the FROZEN north), and the wind was really blowing, it felt really cold.

Speaking of cold, I’m just getting over one, but doing better now.

The fort was ok but I would have liked to see signs explaining things, they gave us a map that had info in it but it was to cold and windy to really look at it.

We walked along the beach and I was again keeping my eye out for a gold spanish doubloon, but again no luck.

There were several people all looking for something, and they had these long handled gizmos to pick up stuff out of the sand and surf. Mary aks this one lady what she was collecting and she showed her 8-12 prehistoric sharks teeth. I looked and found 2 very small ones.

The waves coming in from the east and left bubbles on the sand. The strong wind coming out of the north would blow the bubbles down wind.

We would have liked to stay in the park longer but if was to cold and windy to enjoy so we came back home.

Durning our stay at Walk About GG in Woodbine GA, we met a nice couple, Dottie & Jim, and played Mexican Train Dominoes with them 3 nights, It was a lot of fun even though we stayed up past dark thirty those nights.

Also in the park was a little newer than RUBY BlueBird. This one named Little Jo, was originally ordered by Michael Landon of Little House on the Prairie and Little Jo from Bonanza fame. Sadly he passed away before he took delivery.
