Ooooops, we’re going to be late

We had made arrangements to have lunch with one of Mary’s cousin’s who is also living full time in an RV.

We left early so we could sight see along the way, we were meeting them in Jacksonville FL. We made a couple of stops and walked in the FOG along the beach, Huguenot State Park, sadly, no I didn’t find any gold Spanish Doubloons on the beach. So any way, we’re making our way down the coast towards Jacksonville. The GPS said we were 10 minutes away we had 45 minutes to spare so we made a quick stop at this plantation to look around for a few minutes. We leave with about 20 minutes for the 10 minute drive.

Little did we know that the very last part of the route was by ferry. I’m driving and studying the picture on the GPS, that looks kinds funny…………the last part of the drive was riding on a ferry, we stopped in the ferry parking lot, didn’t see anyone around, didn’t see any sings with times or prices, we turned off ferry’s in the GPS found out that the drive around was 30 minutes. Turns our the ferry was running and the restaurant was very near the terminal but we took the long way around:)
