We visited with my Aunt M. today, she lives in some super small town, in the north east part of Kansas, the town is so small, I’m not even sure it it’s on a paper map.
For 92 she sure is getting around good, sadly she lost her husband back in march, he was a tad over 99.
I’v only met her a few times that I can remember.
Hi Aunt M., we are going to try to make it back and visit again soon.
Somehow we forgot to take any pictures.

Had a bit of an adventure yesterday, we heard a, one time, noise as we were pulling out onto the expressway. I stopped, looked around, didn’t see anything with a very quick look, got going again, thinking I must have hit something on the road that I didn’t see. WE were up to speed when I noticed we were low on air, tried to find a truck stop that might have a mechanic, exited the expressway, lost the remaining air, air brakes don’t work, they lock up, without air. Managed to get it off into the edge of the road. Called a roadside mechanic, turns out we sheared off the shaft for the alternator, those belts also run the compressor for the air system.
The roadside mechanic came out removed the old alternator, called around and found one and went, picked it up, and installed the new one and had us back on the road in just over 3 hours.
Luckily RUBY has what they call a swing out radiator, and he had enough access to the motor, otherwise, we would have been towed to a garage, the coolant would have needed to be drained and the radiator removed, to have access to the front of the motor.
If needed by draining the coolant and disconnecting one hose the radiator can be swung out 90 degrees for full access to the motor.
This will probably be my last post for a few weeks, we’re making tracks to SO IN so I can visit with the eye Dr., then we’re heading north, sometime early August, for some more acceptable weather, ‘this heat & humidity is the pitts……………….. UGH!!!!

Oh Boy what were your chances on finding that mechanic out in no were land, in that heat and humidity to beable to fix Ruby, someone is praying for you all!!!!! That just doesn’t happen! I’m glad to see your doing good. I love reading all you post. God Bless you and I hope your eye exam goes well for you!
We have a service called coach-net. We called them and they found the mobile guy. It really takes some of the breakdown flat tire stress away.
The eye exam is just to be sure the eye drops are working, every 3 months is a real pain though. It bears the alternative of loosing sight so I’m not complaining. I think we’re going to try to split it up between 2 doctors. It really heaps that the eye dr is good friends with B so she goes the extra, extra mile to to help and she knows we living full time in the RV.
