Cochise Stronghold & Windshield

While on our way to Cochise Stronghold, probably within 1/4 mile of where we received the first chip, YUP another one GRRRRRRR. Hopefully we can make it to someplace and get another repair kit before it starts growing.

No pictures of the 3rd chip, right now it’s real small but has the potential to grow.

NOTE to self………….. Don’t buy another off brand windshield, this windshield was just replaced over the summer when we were in Wisconsin.

It was cool and windy for our 2.5 mile hike today, of course we didn’t notice any trail mileages when we started our hike. We started with some boulder exploration and kind of made our way around to the real trail. After walking some about 1/4 mile we found a sign with the milages marked on it. 5 miles was the longest, that would have been 10 miles round trip. We opted to turn around at the 1 mile mark, which was Cochise Spring.

I can see why this was chosen as a strong hold, lots of places for cover so it was easy to defend, it had a nice spring for water. We plan on going back the next time we are in the area and do a longer hike.
