And it’s STILL HOT!!!
There maybe a few post you never received e-mails about, especially if your using Gmail, I tried post the links here but it didn’t work as planned.

We landed at a core park here in Yankton SD. It sits on the South Dakota – Nebraska border with the Missouri River and Lake Lewis & Clark Lake being the dividing line. We arrived in the HEAT, low 90’s and clear skies, the thing is on the final 230 mile drive to get here, we expected to be driving in the rain or at lease have overcast skies, hourly, for the first 2 nights here, they kept pushing back the rain. So we spent 2 days in the 90’s, and bright sun, we originally decided to stay here because we were expecting a little cooler weather, finally on the 3rd day it finally rained and rained all day. We wanted to slow down and spend a few days without moving, by looking at the weather this looked like an ideal area to stay, well the weather people here are as bad here at predicting the weather as they are in the Louisville area.
I’m not sure what the actual big draw for this area is, we must really be missing something because the road for about 4-5 miles, leading to the campground is lined with RV parks, few if any have any shade at all. The park we’re in, at least has some large cottonwoods for shade.
Anyway, this area is so busy that in order to stay 5 nights we had to move spots. 2 nights in one spot, then move spots for 1 night, the last 2 nights will be across the border in Nebraska.
They were calling for rain today but none yet, it has finally cooled off with very overcast skies so that’s a plus. It’s supposed to be cooler the next few days, only time will tell.
The park service has a nice aquarium and fish hatchery here. We made a stop before checking into the campground, there was nothing to see along the drive so we arrived sooner than planned so the aquarium was a good place to kill some time.
We did make a trip to the park headquarters so Mary could get a stamp for her passport book then we stopped at a riverside park where they have a pedestrian bridge across the river.
The End
