Words from a LAZY BUM
Pick at date, any date!
Yes, I know, I’v been slacking, this heat just drains my energy, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it until I can come up with a better one.
We made a quick stop at Herbert Hoover Birth Place (Herbert Hoover National Historic Site, West Branch, IL), again it was pretty hot so we didn’t hang around to long.
Anyone have any idea of what this is? It is something blacksmiths used, I’m sure it’s for making shapes but how would have the inside shapes been used?
On our way to the historic site we stopped at Mississippi Palisades State Park, they had several over looks, we left the van in the parking lot and drove the jeep around to check them out, the view was almost the same from each overlook as they were fairly close together. I’m not to sure what the little cave like thing is unless it was a springhouse at one time.
