Bluff UT & Quartzsite AZ
We spent 3 nights at Corral Sands RV Park while we explored the area. And dang if there’s not a LOT to explore. I mean 3 days there and we didn’t really get to scratch the surface. With in 50-60 miles or less are, and this is just off the top of my head. The Natural Bridges, which are I don’t know what kind of rock, but a different rock from the red rock of the red rock monuments, cedar covered plateaus, a large number of cliff dwellings and Petroglyphs.
We hope to go back and spend a month or so exploring the area. But that will be in a little warmer weather.
I think I may have mentioned earlier that we winterized everything, well that was getting old so off south we went.
While you guys are stuck in the frozen north, we headed south, to much warmer weather……… so warm I needed to roll down the windows with the bright sunshine shinning through the windshield the cab was getting down right hot. Please note that if your stuck in the frozen north that I’m not rubbing in just how warm it is here, as you probably know I’m just not that kinda guy. After all it’s only going to be sunny and in the high 60’s – low 70’s here, that’s not worth rubbing it in it?
We made a couple day stop, here, in Quartzsite AZ, it’s about 480 Miles from Bluff UT. We’re only passing through for now, we’ll be back in December but we needed to get a new entry door handle we’ve been climbing in and out through the cab since we were in Colorado.
Boy what a job that was to change. I thought I was going to need to learn another language or two because I was running out of cuss words. Not only that but I had to borrow some patients from Mary. Let’s just say with the way it broke it was a royal pain to get the old one out. I used a drill , Dremel tool with a small cutting disk, pliers, screwdriver, puddly knife, Mary’s patients, and I can’t remember what else but it was a chore.
We wanted to get the door handle here in case it needed to be ordered, we didn’t want to be stuck someplace, like the frozen north, waiting for it to be delivered. Much to our surprise they had one in stock here.
