Well of course I had to do it again.

Coming out of Valley of the Gods we were only a mile or so from the bottom of the “hill” or mountain with the road going up the side of it. You know, it was almost as intimidating the second time as it was the first time and this was going up this time. Up and up we go higher and higher. You can see further and further with each switchback.

Going up was more washboarded or as least more noticeable. Again words or pictures can’t do justice for the road or the beyond fabulous views.

Once we got to the top we turned around and went back down, you know I couldn’t get that close and not drive it again.  Technically it’s highway 261 and Paved at both ends with the gravel mountain climb in between.
