We’re back:)
We’re back in FBB land (Flat Brown and Borning). We pulled out pretty early this morning, 7:30ish. I don’t like to leave that early but they were talking strong winds for this afternoon and I wanted to get in as many miles as I could before they picked up to bad.
It’s easy to tell we’re back in the frozen north to, it was 19 degrees as the sun came up.
A little over 200 miles of 2 lane today. About 80 miles due east and the rest sourthwest. The speed limit is 65 in NM and 70 in TX. The roads are so straight and boorning that the GSP gives an alert at the slightest curve. Anyway, almost no traffic, I was doing well under the speed limit and I could count the number of vehicles that passed us but I would need to take my shoes off to do it and nobody wants that:)
We passed lots of cotton fields today about 1/2 were plowed. It’s easy to tell they grow cotton because the cotton balls stay white even after being plowed under.
We also drove past a few miles of new pipeline, I’m not sure if it’s water or oil. Its about 8-10″ flexible black plastic hose, almost like an over grown garden hose. One reason I think it might be water is a few off shoots are laying in drainage or irrigation canals.
The other thing they are doing in this same area is building large (acre-ish) ponds lined with plastic. We’re not sure what they are for. They are 20-30 feet tall, most are above ground, the one we could see in , Mary said it looked like water in it. Didn’t think to take any pictures.

I signed up!
I like the aliens photo very much.
Keep on rollin’!
I bought a TREK bike and plan a mid- July ride 9 days/900 miles from Louisville to Ste.St. Marie, MI and into Canada (just ordered a passport)….with my brother who crossed the country 5 years ago. My plan is two fold: succeed & not die.

p.s. your headline: Tails is Tales
Fixed, thanks, looks like I need to get after the proof reader:)
