Headed South
There are a few more below this one.

After spending the better part of the summer in Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, sadly, it’s time to start our southern migration back to Southern Indiana.
Mary has a Dr. Appointment and I’m going to see the Dr. about my shoulder. Hopefully it won’t take to long before I get full and pain free movement back, it’s starting to really limit what I can do.
Also, this will probably be my last post until we leave Indiana for our southwestern winter hideout. We’re going back to the same place we were at last year for 2 months this time.
Now on with the babbling.
We pulled out of Aune Osborn Campground, Sault Saint Marie, MI at 11:30 For our roughly 50 mile hop down to Saint Ingance, it’s a small tourist trap town next to Mackinaw Bridge.
Pictures from last morning on the St Mary’s River.

We spent 2 nights at Tiki RV Park and Campground while exploring the Saint Ingance area.
Now we’re not to far from Saginaw MI and while shopping we found the strangest Meijer’s I have ever been in, they have the groceries spread out in at least 3 different areas with general merchandise scattered in between………Very Strange.
Now that we’re heading south again I thought I should mention, I had the most miserable spring I can ever remember for our trip north. It started about the time we left West Texas and continued pretty much until I got to northern Illinois.
We were moving ever few days, it seems that we followed the snow and blooms. We would move it would be cold then everything is in bloom, move a little further north, and it would start over again. I felt like I spent most of the spring in a Benadryl induced coma.
Now, I can tell I’m again entering the allergy armpit of the world and can’t wait to get the ^%$& out of here. I sure hope the doc had a quick cue for my arm, I don’t plan to leave until my arm is on the mend.
Well like I said earlier unless something spatular happens this will be the last post until we leave Southern Indiana.

Spatular? (Spectaculor?)… auto correct = awesome!
Hey Rex & Marie,
My brother & I rode our bicycles from Louisville to Sault Ste. Marie; 900 miles in 9 days back in July. So I know that area very well. We drove across in a rental car to Canada to get our passports stamped. it was July 15, my birthday and about 11:00 p.m. The border patrol stamp was still set to July 14th, so that was anti-climatic.
The morons. I just returned from a trip to Santa Fe, NM. Once you see that weather in August, you’ll stay. 47-51 degrees at night; 74-79 days. A couple of hard rains evenings as it is monsoon season. Maybe there was an 83 degree day once. Dry air makes it no sweating. Thanks for sharing your travels.
Doug
