Pictured Rock

We drove up to Pictured Rock today, it was a great day to get out. In a typical Rex flub, he didn’t pay much attention in reading the signs, so the mile hike we took ended up at a lake and NOT a Waterfalls as expected. I should mention Here that Mary was with me…….. that’s all I’m going to say on the subject:)

We drove back this one road, kinda rough with some mud puddles in it to an overlook. The over look was far from spectacular, nothing but green trees, but I bet it would be a super views in the fall with the leaves turning color.

2 other spots we went to, we didn’t even get out, they were short hikes to some waterfalls, we didn’t even stop because we couldn’t find a place to park. At this one place they were already parking close to 1/2 mile from the parking lot, now this was like 4 miles back a mostly gravel not smooth road, and on the drive out we met several cars. Crazy busy for a Friday. Of course that kinda explains why we had trouble finding a spot to stay.
