ICE across Arkansa
Date 2/23 to 2/27
We’re making our way towards South Dakota because I need to renew my Drivers License in person this year. Hopefully we’ll be able to renew Mary’s at the same time otherwise we’ll be making another trip to SD later in the year.
Anyway, from Savannah we drove mostly west while keeping an eye on the big storm just north of us. Thankfully we escaped most of the really bad weather.
We drove all the way across Arkansa and from the Mississippi River to past Little Rock there was ice the entire drive thankfully only a few places did we notice any real damage from the ice, once past Little Rock the ground was covered in snow/ice.
At the far western edge of Arkansa, we toured the remains of Fort Smith in the cold. Not all of the sidewalks were cleared so we didn’t walk all of it.
After Fort Smith we moved north about 100 miles for the night and toured the Pea Ridge Civil War Battle Field, the snow was melting and the ground was soggy so we didn’t venture to far.
