South Florida
Friday, September 17, 2021 – Mary said I shouldn’t mention the heat again so I’m not going to mention the temperature or anything about the heat and humidity. On Rex’s scale, is WAY up there, but I’m not going to mention it, nope not one word about how hot and humid it is. Ooooops, forget you just read my comments that it’s WAY to HOT & HUMID for me.
We haven’t seen the big gator in the lake any more, but I’m sure he’s still lurking around in the lake. To me he looked to be about 8-9 ft, Mary thought he was bigger than that.
So looking forward to not sweating 25 hours a day. UGH!!!!!! Sweatshirt weather, not coats, where are you, I miss you!!!
So complaints, done with for a few minutes at least, we moved all of 57 miles today fortunately it didn’t hit 9,000,000 degrees until we arrived and now clouds are moving in with a chance of rain.
Wednesday, September 18, eggs frying on the sidewalk hot.
Yesterday we moved to the town of Florida City, just south and west of Miami, in to a BIG mobile home park where they park campers in the few empty spots they have. Not overly impressed but beggars can’t be choosey and from looking around this park is as good or better than the others in the area. Well, at least the skeeters aren’t as bad here as Midway Campground where we just left were.
Apparently, one of my goals since coming to Florida needs to be, make it out of Florida without getting crunched, truthfully, the likely hood of that seems kinda slim. I’ll just call 1/2 or more of the drivers down here overly aggressive and I’m not sure that they know that the numbers on the speed limit signs mean.
On our way to Key Largo this morning, 1 lane road with concrete barriers on each side, the posted speed limit was 55, we were running 68, with traffic, and I was worried that some fool(s) were going to try to pass on the 1/2 lane on either side of us, they are nuts down here. Sometimes I think they think the Jeep is a pinball they are suppose to hit.
Anyway, we drove down to Key Largo this morning, was not impressed and will leave it at that. Just for kicks this morning before we left I looked on Zillow.com, no worries with us moving down there, most of the prices had a M(million) behind them, one was 23M.
We’re going to save a drive to Key West for another trip south, Key Largo, as usual, was a spur of the moment drive.
Monday September 20, so we’re setting at a stoplight, turning lane on the left and I’m in the go straight or right turn lane, when this guy passes us on the right, driving in the grass to turn right. I hope we make it out of Florida alive.
The End

Yep, Florida people CAN NOT drive…. I call them Flor-idiots…. Pray that you gius make it out of that screwed up place without to many scratches and scrapes. Watch the gators, they are cagey creatures…. Probably make a good bait for a big foot trap…. Of course you KNOW the big guy don’t hang out down that way…. Way to HOT and HUMID for him….. Not that you noticed the heat and humidity or anything…. Lol. Stay safe and enjoy your travels.
P.S. the temps up this way dropped WAY down yesterday…. High was in the low 60’s
Rub it in about the temperature why don’t you!!!!
