Florida sure is HOT

Forget whatever I said about not complaining about the heat!!!! I just can’t help myself.

August 31, 2021 Elevation 73 – Temperature, Brain Boiling Hot!! If my brain were an egg it would be hard boiled about now. Not only is it most warm, the humidity has been in the 90% every morning, and only dropping slightly durning the day.

We moved all of 40 miles today, we’re going to be here for a week visiting my sister and her husband along with exploring the area.

The name of the park we’re in is called Big Oak, and they have some big trees here, problem is we’re not under one of them, we would have been except the office put another camper in our spot, we would haven’t known except when they gave Mary the receipt, it was for 2 weeks, also it was quite a big bill, they are paying regular price, since this is a Passport America park we’re staying here at 1/2 price.

We couldn’t check in until around 1:00 but had to check out from the Cedar Lake in Homosassa at 11:00 so we did a slower drive with an extended stop at Walmart. While I’m not a big Wally World fan, I try to avoid them if we’re in the jeep, they usually have large parking lots so it’s easier to stop at with the motorhome and jeep hooked up. And of course I was happy to get plugged in and the A/C going once we got here.

While we’re in Big Oaks, we booked a few spots in State Campgrounds, the prices are reasonable until they start tacking on all these strange extra fees, I don’t know why they don’t just post the ACTUAL price on the website!!!!

We didn’t do much besides visit, and take a few small drives.
