Revenge of the Misquotes
June 28, 2021
This morning with the Bigfoot bells on my walking stick, we’re in Bigfoot country you know, we took the hike that we passed on the other day because the parking lot was crowded, it’s a trailhead for at least 2 trails which are overnight to multi-day hikes. The spot we were headed to was an offshoot trail. We followed it to a good vantage point of the mountains which was about a mile in, mostly up hill. While the trail continued we turned around, the overlook was a little closer than we expected. We discussed going on for another 1/2 to mile or so then turning around but to me the air at 9544 feet is a little thin.
Most people call my bells, on my walking stick, bear bells but actually they are Bigfoot bells. I figure he needs a chance, I don’t want to sneak up on him and surprise him. I want to give him a chance to make himself presentable for his photo opp.
The skeeters were most pesky even though I doused myself good with bug spray. I started with a sweatshirt that I planned to take off but didn’t because the thin shirt I had on I knew would be no match for the little blood suckers. They weren’t bothering Mary to bad, I guess they liked me so much better because I’m just so naturally sweet and irresistible. Seemed like every time I killed one 3-4 more would show up to take their revenge for the one I killed.
I guess we didn’t have it so bad really, we talked to a couple of guys who said they were going to stay longer but the misquotes were so bad they had to wait until late evening when the temperature dropped to eat and this morning they got up early and fixed breakfast before it warmed up, they gave up and returned to their car rather than suffer the skeeters. They had the misquote hats with the netting, but the blood suckers made it hard to even get a drink.
Then once we got home I had to inspect the back of my eyelids for an hour or so.

what color shirt did Mary have on the color you was wearing is a natural attraction for sheeters.
She had a light pink, I had on an orange sweatshirt
See what happens when you try and be nice…. Those skeeters are the big guys friend and they attacked you because you were close to finding him…. He knows Mary isn’t as interested as you are about the photo op so he sent his minions to attack you to try and get you off his trail… Keep up the hunt, I think you may be wearing him down a bit…. Lol…. Keep the stories and the pics coming ….. I love it! Be safe out there and stay hydrated!
